18 August 2008 Quintrex releases 40 limited edition cruisers with flare

Quintrex is celebrating 40 years of the Flared Bow and to commemorate the milestone has released 40 limited edition 560 Freedom Cruiser models.

Available for purchase through Quintrex dealers, each of the 40 limited edition models are individually numbered and fitted out with a number of exciting optional features as standard for just $39,760 (excluding dealer delivery, freight, boat & trailer registrations and on water costs).

National Sales and Marketing Manager Damien Duncan said the limited edition model release presents a one-off opportunity for customers.

“We couldn’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate the Flared Bow than to release a limited number of one of our most popular models with some exciting extras at a great price,” Damien said.

“Built with the Flared Bow and Millennium Hull, these models feature all the standard features you would normally get in the 560 Freedom Cruiser with the addition of two-tone paint with a limited edition metallic stripe, upholstery highlights that match your chosen two-tone paint colour and for the first time, the MerCruiser’s 135 horsepower 3.0L MPI sterndrive engine.

“You’ll never be able to get the same boat with these limited edition extras for the same price again,” he said.

The 40 models will be the first in the Quintrex range to feature the MerCruiser 135 horsepower 3.0L MPI sterndrive engine that will soon become available as an option on the 530 and 560 Freedom Cruiser.

The 560 Freedom Cruiser can comfortably cater for seven people with basic flotation, measures 5.88 metres overall and 2.38 metres across the beam.

Conceived by Quintrex founder Terry Quantrill and his right-hand man Bill Pigott in 1968, the Flared Bow was the first accentuated bow flare to be used on aluminium boats, enabling Quintrex boats to become more versatile, drier and stronger.

Made possible through a stretch-forming machine that is still used in the Quintrex factory today, the Flared Bow continues to keep Quintrex passengers dry, provides lift when punching through waves and is featured on over 50 models.

The Flared Bow remains exclusive to Quintrex and has helped establish the brand as Australia’s leading and most awarded aluminium boat range.
