New South Wales Quintrex dealer Mid Coast Marine has been awarded the coveted 2007 - 2008 National Dealer of the Year at the Quintrex Conference, held 22 – 23 April, 2008 on the Gold Coast.
Mid Coast Marine Dealer Principal Rick Patterson said winning Quintrex National Dealer of the Year was a wonderful surprise.
“Our goal for 2007/2008 was to achieve NSW Dealer of the Year, so when we found out we were the winner of the National award we were shocked,” Rick said.
“The award recognises the team work and long hard hours we have put into Mid Coast Marine since Mel and I took ownership in July 2006,” he said.
Quintrex National Sales and Marketing Manager Damien Duncan said Mid Coast Marine’s performance in a number of areas during 2007-2008 made them a stand out choice.
“Since taking ownership of the dealership, Rick and Mel Patterson made drastic improvements to Mid Coast Marine including refurbishing the service centre, lifting boat presentation standards, redeveloping their website, hiring enthusiastic staff and being creative with their marketing,” Damien said.
“Mid Coast Marine are often commended on their high level of customer service and get heavily involved in their local Port Macquarie community, supporting charities and holding regular on water events.
“These achievements along with their passion and drive made Mid Coast Marine a very worthy winner of the highly contest and coveted Quintrex National Dealer of the Year award,” he said.
The 2007 - 2008 national and state awards were judged on three areas - sales activity, marketing activity and at the dealership with each area including specific criteria such as sales performance, innovative marketing activity, website, dealership presentation, stock presentation, workshop facilities and customer service.
